FAQ
Questions platform teams ask
How embedding, white-label, data protection, and plans work.
What is ResponseDock?
ResponseDock is a white-label survey engine that platforms embed to give their own customers surveys, forms, and results. Your app handles sign-in, theme, and domain; ResponseDock runs the builder, forms, results, and data behind it.
How does embedding work?
Your backend creates a short-lived, signed embed session for the current user with their customer account, role, and allowed actions. Your page loads the embedded survey workspace or form with that session, and ResponseDock checks it on every request. Respondent forms can also be shown with the browser or React SDK.
Which plan includes embedding and the SDK?
Starter includes hosted survey pages, share links, QR codes, and an iframe embed for public surveys. Signed embeds (the survey workspace and respondent forms), the browser and React SDK, API keys, webhooks, and registration forms start on Pro.
What happens when the 14-day Pro trial ends?
You can try Pro free for 14 days, and no card is required to start. The trial covers one workspace; additional workspaces are not included. When the trial ends, your workspace drops to Starter limits unless you subscribe to a paid plan. Nothing is deleted: your surveys, responses, and settings stay in your workspace.
What does white-label include on each plan?
Every plan, including Starter, can use your logo, colors, font, and button style. Starter still shows ResponseDock branding. Pro includes basic white-label, which removes ResponseDock branding from surveys. Business and Platform include full white-label, including a custom domain that we set up with you. Below full white-label, survey invitation emails are sent “via ResponseDock”.
Can surveys run on our own domain?
Yes. On every plan you can point a survey’s share link and QR code at a page in your app that embeds the survey, so respondents only see your address. A custom domain for ResponseDock-hosted pages is part of full white-label on Business and Platform.
Where is data stored, and do you sign a DPA?
The application and API run on Fly.io in Amsterdam. All subprocessors, including the MongoDB Atlas database, Cloudflare Turnstile bot protection, and Google Cloud Storage for file attachments, are listed on the Trust page, and our GDPR Data Processing Addendum is published. Business and Platform customers can request a countersigned copy.
Can we self-host ResponseDock?
Self-hosting licenses, deployment documentation and support are arranged with sales. Contact sales@responsedock.com to discuss a self-hosted deployment.
Does ResponseDock use AI?
In two places. The AI survey designer drafts, improves, and translates surveys and counts toward your monthly AI survey generations. When the server has a language model configured, open-text quiz answers that have a reference answer are graded by it. Feedback analysis (themes, sentiment, opportunity scores) uses keyword rules, not AI.
Is there a mobile app?
A mobile app for answering surveys, scanning QR codes, and following results is coming to the App Store and Google Play; it is not available for download yet. Until then, every survey works in any phone browser, and you manage surveys and results in the web app.
